With BSD under the hood, how can you really go wrong? In fact, any system that comes stock with vim and perl can't be that bad. I can't begin to tell you how many more perl scripts are running on my system since I made the switch 3 years ago. Perl makes me happy. (although python is growing on me)

Hi Jason!

So my girlfriend just bought a new MacBook on Tuesday, the 2.4 GHz model upgraded with 4 gigs of ram. I have never really used a Mac before and had little interest until I finally spent a few hours using this machine. At first it seemed strange, but as another Mac friend of mine told me it is just a different way of thinking than in Windows. I really like the dock, spaces, and VMware Fusion makes running Visual Studio and Sql Server on the Mac desktop all possible.

Now I am left in a very difficult spot, I was saving for a new TV but I might end up blowing the money on a new MacBook Pro.
